Why is prayer important?
James 5:16 Confess your sins to each other and pray fo reach other so God can heal you. When a believing person prays, great things happen. (NCV)

Why do we feel that God cares about our concerns? Why do we pray in desperate circumstances for God to intervene? Why do we believe that God wants to help us, when we can not help ourselves? What brings us to the conclusion that God cares? Could it be that He cares enough for us to send His One and Only Son to die for our sins? That He cares enough to save us form eternal death when we accept Jesus as that sin Savior? If God cares enough to forsake His only Son, then why wouldn't He continue to care about the issues we face each and everyday? So I again ask why is prayer important? Why, because God cares. 1 Peter 5:6-7 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He might exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. (NKJV) We forget that God doesn't decide what is not important. Everything we bring to Him is important to us and is equally important to Him. He cares, and He wants to know all about your concerns, because He does care. Luke 21:34-36 But take heed to yourselves and be on your guard, lest your hearts be overburdened and depressed (weighed down) with the giddiness and headache and nausea of self-indulgence, drunkeeness and worldly worries and cares pertaining to (the businss of) this life. and (lest) that day come upon you suddenly like a trap or a noose; for it will come upon all who live upon the face of the entire earth. Keep awake then and watch at all times (be discreet, attentive and ready), praying that you may have the full stength and ability and be accounted worthy to escape all these things (taken together) that will take place, and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man.
