Does God care?

Psalm 144:3 I wonder why you care , GOD — why do you bother with us at all? (THE MESSAGE)

People do the strangest things to impress others, but does God care? You see people trying to get into the Guinness book of world records. They do what some may consider strange things to get their names in the record book. What would you do to have your name written down in a record book? Would you sit in a room full of snakes? Grow your fingernails to outrageous lengths? Eat more hotdogs than anyone? Swim in the Antarctic for hours? My question is how do any of these actions impress God? Does He care if your name is written in the Guinness book of world records? No. The only book that He cares that your name is written in is the Lamb’s Book of Life. And there is only one way to have your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. You don’t have to do anything stupid. You don’t have to eat anything disgusting, or outrageous. All you need to do is believe that Jesus is the Son of God, sent to save the world of sin. Ask Him into your heart and to forgive you of sin. It’s that simple. The best part, your name will not be removed from the book because of actions by any other. Your name won’t be removed because somebody else did something bigger, longer or faster. Those things don’t matter to God, just the condition of your heart, that’s what God cares about. Psalm 136:23-26 God remembered us when we were down, His love never quits. Rescued us from the trampling boot, His love never quits. Takes care of everyone in time of need. His love never quits. Thank God, who did it all! His love never quits! (THE MESSAGE)
